His life really was one massive lie. He was no prophet, messiah, or guru.
He espoused nothing coherent at all from a theological or philosophical perspective. He just used and controlled a bunch of young people to get them to do what he wanted for his own enjoyment. All the environmental advocacy stuff -- ATWA -- was just used to distract people from the truth and most of that came after his incarceration. He was also not much of a poet or musician. Why anyone would want to buy his homemade records is beyond me.
I hope that for those he has harmed, this will bring closure. Maybe some of the kids who did his bidding and went to prison as a result of it will now have a chance to go after being in jail for 40plus years
