I pretty much agree with Fatmo re: UMT. I don't think just because Brian played the marimbas and they are played with the melody that he wrote the song. As an example, did George Martin write Eleanor Rigby because he suggested using a string octet? Paul wrote the song and George Martin must have felt it was missing something and suggested adding strings to brighten up the song. And it is VERY possible Keith or Mick suggested the marimbas? No doubt BJ was very talented, a walking orchestra of sorts.
