I'm looking for an original version of that film, with all the Brian footage intact. If anyone knows where to find one, please do share.
There was a second movie made with footage from SFTD not seen in the released version, which at first was titled One Plus One. Maybe you means this?? I only saw this second movie once, about a year after One Plus One came out, and the best part is a totally different shot and take of them doing the back round vocals, where Jimmy Miller is in front of everybody, he's clearly directing everybody, moving his hands up and down as if he was conducting an orchestra to making everybody sing backing vocals in the way you actually hear them on the record. While this is happening, Keith isn't singing with the others in the group, like you see in the movie, instead he's off to the side playing the great bass line that is used in the song, while Bill is in the group singing backups. Charlie also ins't there, not that he ever sang the backups while you see him standing there in the first take. But this other movie only had parts of this added footage of the Stones it it, is was a mixture of different things, and I can only half remember it's title, something along the lines of "When the music was great", but that ins't it. Somebody else here must have seen this... I know our late friend Gerry did, as we talked about this here years ago and we wondered how to get a hold of the film.
