RE: One Plus One + SFTD = Voices

I was referring to the original film, which at the time was titled "One Plus One".

Okay, we just might be talking about 3 different films that were taken from the these 1968 sessions! But first, One Plus One and SFTD are the same one movie, it was titled "One Plus One" in Europe, and SFTD in the US, when first released, but I guess now it's titled SFTD in Europe today, too.

I'm talking to one of my insiders about this, and he reminded me about another film made by Jean-Luc Godard called Voices, which is a basically a doc about the movie he made with the Stones, that being SFTD. It shows in this doc where the studio catches on fire, and they had to grab their guitars and run out of the studio real fast, then it shows, from outside, the building burning. The fire was caused by Godard's lighting man, who placed a lamp too close to the ceiling, catching it on fire.... But.... I believe that what I described in my last reply, about the backing vocals, was in yet another movie, and not in this one. Although I'm not 100% sure on this, it could have been this one where I saw it.

I do have footage of the studio on fire, on VHS tape, and forgot about it until I was reminded tonight, but what I have only shows the fire and nothing else, other than somebody is talking in the background about what you're seeing. So it had to come from this film Voices, which I think I've seen, but again I'm not 100% sure, I might be getting my movies mixed up here, too.

It had a lot more footage of Brian than does the current SFTD film. A lot of Brian footage was edited out.

Yes, my friend recalls this too, and he reminded me of something I recall seeing too (I just don't recall seeing it in SFTD); it is footage of the Stones in the same studio, where the band was working on the song "No Expectations" for one of the first times. So no, it wasn't just the song SFTD that Godard took footage of, and I definitely recall this other bit now that I was reminded, but I'm thinking that maybe it is in Voices instead? Do you recall seeing this DA? If so, and if you haven't seen this other movie, than it had to be in a uncut version of the first movie.

Really, this is going back so many years for me to totally remember this all correctly. But there were 2 films for sure, and I believe a third that wasn't a Godard movie, just a film where some of his stuff was also in it.
