so any footage of Jones facing the camera(or not horizontal maybe) might indicate that it's the original version?
"Might" is the operative word. I'm not saying that it will, but it might. Again, the last time I saw the original movie was in (I think) 1977. That was a very long time ago!
I googled 'dvd regional workarounds', found one for my model, followed a few simple steps, and converted it to 'All Regions'....very handy that has been, saved me a few bob.
That's a pretty good idea! But my DVD player is very old. It's a combo VHS/DVD player. I hardly ever use the VHS part anymore, but it still works, and the DVD player part of it still works perfectly well. I don't believe in throwing out stuff that works, even if it's old.
Another method would be to convert the DVD to region 1. I'm pretty sure I could do this, but I still need to find a good DVD rip program.
