I agree TP, Immediate had some great acts on it's books including my personal fave's the Small Faces. I think signing with Immediate gave them a real shot in the arm, even if they did end up financing the label.
The Loogster is certainly an interesting character, and just about as important as anyone in the early Stones 'history'. I had the chance to speak to him once in a theatre bar(before the second ever public showing of Charlie is my Darling), but passed up the opportunity thinking he would probably have told me to fuck off. I did get married in the same registry office as him, but I haven't been able to dine out on the strength of that tenuous connection.
