Oh Jaded Faded my homes are way too small and/or modern for mosaics. I have fun on interior walls - my UK home is a townhouse in suburbia - not even a lawn - just stone on the ground, which works well for me as I'm allergic to grass pollen. My California home is a retreat, it's a kind of luxurious beach house, LOL. A Californian friend of mine who visits came with me when I first moved there, and was rather shocked to see the transformation when the kitchen was remodelled and all the new living room furniture had arrived - she seemed a bit disappointed that the rustic basic 1960s beach house with the original kitchen had become a contemporary beach home in which to relax! LOL! I'm hoping to relocate to Vancouver Island, but for now will have to make do with buying another holiday home - though this will be in a residential neighbourhood with good roads (no winding hairpin bends like the rugged coastline of N.California) . I don't think I'd be able to create mosaics there really - though maybe I could do something in the back yard which right now has a very basic lawn at the back of the house. I couldn't do anything on the actual house which is only nine years old. Both my Pacific North West homes are on stilts, and since they're both in earthquake zones, I'd rather see mosaic starting off on the ground rather than smashing to the ground if the earth did shake rather too much.
