RE: RE: RE: Some People Like The Winter ssc

I've been a bit caught up in recent years with caring for my Dad and exhaustion, so have gone out loads to compensate for going into an apathetic paralysis and weariness at home. In the past I've made loads of tapestries which are all framed and on all the walls. I ran out of wall space at a similar time to when I took up playing guitar - please no jokes about strings made of wool, heard them before - and that's been a bit of an on off hobby - am starting playing again after 5 years of not even picking it up. When I started learning I took lessons on an acoustic guitar so that I wouldn't get into bad habits and when I got an electric guitar I went to the Guitar Institute to take classes - that was so long ago now!! I also write poetry from time to time. The latest hobby I took up was scrapbooking - I love going to rock concerts and taking photos - there are a few peeps I go to multiple gigs to see and I've got a few brill scrapbooks of those. The best thing about scrapbooking is that you can write on the side, you can decorate it however you like - and there are some wonderful places to buy all sorts of stuff to stick onto the page - as well as all sorts of wonderful assortments of pages to buy to suit the mood and type of music. I guess scraobooking is a bit girly for some people, but I think it could be done by anyone. Photos of family members if you've got family. Photos of anything really - they do so much better in a scrapbook than in a photo album because it's so much more fun to look back at them (also in winter) and read all the anecdotes and remember back to the fun getting to the concert, being there, after the concert. So many lovely memories shared with other fans that you get to know in the queue. Nothing like it IMO. I'm hoping to be less scattered this winter and intend to create a work plan for my hobbies - otherwise I waste hours and hours doing mindless things that really make me feel I've been totally unproductive. There's always more to learn and I go on courses loads. I could suggest loads more ideas, but I'd best stop here.
