I meditate, but that's not a hobby, it's a way of life. I also don't do rush around like a headless chicken - am an old age pensioner and do still work, but not many hours a day (my Dad took up a lot of my time and energy before he died two months ago - but hanging out with a man with dementia doesn't require much mind activity, nor doing, just lots of being activity - the other stuff was just practical things, so not too mind activity which is very overrated IMO).
Wow skiing!! I'd be terrified of anything other than cross country skiing (which I tried one afternoon in N.California with a friend and her daughters many years ago). My idea of being an outdoor person is to drive to someplace and take the wimps walk - then have a picnic and walk back to the car, drive around a little to enjoy the scenery etc. Snow - when it snows I hibernate, get the groceries delivered from the supermarket and dance around the living room for exercise!!! I do like walking - in moderation. Best exercise for me is dance. I'm training to be a Rosen Movement teacher - that's work, and it's fun too.
