I gave 'Luxury' a 6. It's a strange concoction. As far as I can discern, the only 'reggae' influence is Jagger's half arsed attempt at sounding like a rude boy, wtf? As far as the backing goes, it has no connection to reggae, rock steady, ska, calypso or any other Caribbean rhythm that I've ever heard. To me it's just another generic Richards open G thing, they might as well be playing 'Happy' or something. I don't think it's all that good.

I believe that's a first, a true Stones fan saying this song has no reggae in it! MJ and Keith would be hurt by this too, since they both felt and stated that this song was reggae influenced. I mean, Mick clearly sings this as a reggae number, and when this song first was released, it was called a reggae tune. I mean, even Wiki calls it reggae! Oh wait, if they call it that, then maybve it isn't reggae afterall..
