Yet you still see the REAL beauty in it Keno. Ain't that what counts?
Yes, it does! But at the same time, when you know that you can't see like others can, you do feel cheated some, too... Yet I think of my oldest daughter who lost her sight in her left eye 4 years ago thanks to her cancer issues. Before that she lost her right index finger for the same reason. Yet she said to me some time back that at least she can still see 20/20 out of her other eye that still works. Yet like her mother, she was a hairdresser, and she had to give that up after she lost the vision in that one eye. So anyway, yes, I can live with my colorblindness if my kid can live with her cancer caused problems.
Meteorology has always been a fascination to me.
Yeah, me too! Since I was a boy - things I can't even remember - but stories that my mother told about. Like what I was doing at an age as young as 4 and 5 years old, predicting the weather, telling my parents a storm was coming when I didn't even see or hear the weather forecast - and I'd be right, a storm would hit! The love and the feel for meteorology is a thing born into some of us. I never had any problems in learning and understanding things about it, or how to operate and set up a weather station - or make a weather forecast up for my weather site. It's a auto thing within me - and I see this in others, too. Some things you are just born to do - yet with other things, no, that isn't the case. Like I can't play a guitar to save my life. But hey, I still dig listening to one being played!
