RE: RE: RE: RE: watermelon man,,nsc

I would check out:

Miles Davis BITCHES BREW

Anything by Weather Report from the 70s. They did change and evolve a fair bit and lasted well into the 80s

The formal name of the Sintra/Ellington album is:

FRANIS A & EDWARD K

For Sinatra fans (and I am one, possessing every single recording he ever made which is probably quadruple the output our beloved Stones) the Francis A & Edward K album is one of the most loved. Easily in the top 10. Totally worth it. Think about it, you are getting one of the most iconic singers of all time with one of the greatest jazz/big band leaders of the 20th century. there is simply nothing quite like it. I am wanting to go play it just by writing this!

Jazz and Jazz Fusion (and I like the latter genre much more) are very diverse categories.

I say check out whatever moves you, listen to what you dig. Some stuff I love and some stuff just doesn't do it for me. A while back I bought the album THIRD by Soft Machine. To be honest, I bought it unheard because I read it was one of the best of the genre. It never quite put the hook in me -- but it may yet.

Oh, and why not check out Chick Correa's Hymns Of The Seventh Galaxy and also Romatic Warrior.

Hymns is funky and spacy but it really grooves. Romatic Warrior has a very very different sound.

Sorry for babbling!!
