It could be dangerous boycotting music on the basis of someone being a jerk. Do we mean someone who is a 100% jerk as opposed to someone who sometimes acts like a jerk? Jagger and Richards plus Lennon and McCartney have all acted like jerks quite frequently. Or does being a jerk mean being illiberal?

I have no problem not listening to Nugent as I don't really like his music anyhow.Someone earlier mentioned that Wagner was a right wing jerk but still wrote some great music. However, a liberal outlook usually goes with being a rock star (though they are also fantastically rich and privileged). In a nutshell, I don't like Trump's politics or Nugent's music. But if I did like Nugent's music, I am not sure his politics would matter to me.
