RE: RE: RE: 2 replies in one...

This doesn't seem to be that ugly, at least to me. (last year was uglier) This is just normal discourse, delivered with fairly proper and fairly decent decency, as it should be. If you're disinterested in the content or expression, just redirect the thread or ignore it altogether. Even last year, I didn't understand why this approach wasn't enough. I've been all down the line too many times and in too many places where people just want things removed or for others to shut up, and I don't get it.

Boards, and threads, are kind of like music, to me. Once you start one it really is kind of like it no longer belongs to you. Others interpret things and react and respond how they will and it is silly to try to control it, or censor it. People generally engage with positive and uniting and respectful dialogue, but sometimes they also engage in nastiness. If good music talk bores one or if someone can't handle other posters' harshness, why can't it just be ignored? Why the need for removal? That said, it seems like it might be a nice thing to be able to control at least your own posts, and to delete them yourself if you want. But I feel that you should never be able to delete others' posts.
