Damn! Manny, that is high!!! Speaking of height, Yes Keno is correct. A typical dish that the average consumer would get today, does not have to be off the ground anymore than a foot. However it all depends on your sight line. And, if you live in apartment or even a deed restricted neighborhood, well you gotta play by those rules too. Manny and I, being on the east coast pretty much need a clear shot south by south west. Depending on the provider. Yes you guys are right about the heaters effect in a heavy snow, but during those times you also have to account for the snow that is falling out of the sky for disrupting your signal. Not just the snow accumulating on the dish. Same reason you can lose a signal in heavy rain. Reason being? The bandwith utilized by those dishes (KU band) are spaced right about the size of a rain drop. It's true Ronnie!!!
