RE: RE: RE: Lots of Stones on Sirius this week...

Didn't know that about a heater, but when you get that wet, very heavy snow, where it's coming down a few inches an hour, I bet it doesn't work fast enough, but it would still melt the snow after it lets up I guess.

Providing you can reach your dish

You don't need to have it high up, or even placed on your roof... When they installed my dish here I did tell the guy they sent out to make sure the dish was where I could reach it for when we had heavy snow. I recalled where I lived years ago in my old place, the dish was up on the middle of the highest part of roof, impossible to reach when it was snowing hard, and my next door neighbor had his dish on the hill behind our houses, and I would see him go up the hill when the snow was falling heavily and just brush off the snow with his hands, and I realized that's where my dish should had been too, and made sure not to make the same mistake again. I need my satellite service working... I use it mainly for the radio/music, so it's on most of the day and night, even if the TV is off most of the day.
