Sorry but I just don't view an artist that chooses not to release songs as greedy.
Neither do I.... But I didn't say he was greedy for not releasing his music, I said he was greedy for only making music so that he could make millions of dollars off of it, which is not saying the same thing. Most musicians make music for the joy of making the music first, and not for making money only. Think Bob Dylan, or the late Prince, as examples... those 2 guys made several albums worth of music throughout the years that they never released. They recorded all of these unreleased songs for the joy of making music, not to make a ton of money off of their fans. That has been my point here all along.
Keno if you found out that Daltry donates a lot of money and a huge amount of his time to the teen cancer charity, (I'm saying if, I have no idea) would you still consider him greedy?
Although I have no idea on how much of his time he spends working with charity groups, I already know that he and Townshend donated $1 million to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center last spring, and the 2 also helped out with other charity groups in the past, so of course, no, that is not being greedy at all, that is the work of 2 great guys!... But.... that ins't what the 2 of us have been talking about here for the last few days. He is, as I stated several times now, being greedy about only caring about making money first over making music for the sake of making music, and he's an asshole to blame all of his fans for stealing his music when that isn't true at all and a very stupid thing to say publicly about your fans.
So, is Roger Daltrey overall a stupid and greedy guy, and an asshole? No, not from what I've read about him in the past, and from the one guy I know who knows him personally (well, knew him years ago), I don't think overall that he is greedy, or stupid, or an asshole. I think he's a good guy.... I only think in this one case he is being greedy, and making stupid, untrue statements. He is 70 years old after-all, maybe old age is affecting him to say stupid stuff that he won't have said even 10 years ago?
So again, we've been only talking about 1 thing here, not the person's entire life in general, and everybody can be an asshole (or whatever word you prefer to use) at least once in a blue moon, especially after 70 years of life.
