I had forgotten that, but yes, that was very strange that Lennon's stuff was only left off the U.S. release, yet up until this time he was the one Beatle looked at as who wrote and sang the best songs for the band. No question, even with those 3 missing songs, this album was clearly Paul's best album, all of the songs he wrote were excellent, including "Yellow Submarine", which is getting a lot of votes for the least liked song, yet I feel it's a 10. The album of the same name is lacking because of the non Beatles songs on it, yes, but what's so bad with the song itself that fans don't care for? I love it, it's a pure Beatles song to me, and it was written by Paul.
