Yes, one song can be one person's favorite and another's least. I was just thinking out loud why YS seems to be most fans, or at least many fans least favorite, while I love it.
Heck, YS is child like as you note, but I like that... It was songs like that which got my kids into liking the Beatles at a very young age, and I see nothing wrong with that. I mean, with my son, when he was about 5, 6 years old, he loved the White Album because of the kid-like songs on there (and the songs that weren't meant to be kids songs, like "Piggies", but sounded like a kid's song)... Yet what's wrong with the kids of today? What worked on my 3 kids, didn't work on my grandson at all. I've played all that stuff that he's heard as he grew up, yet today at 16, it's mainly hip-hop and a bit of country that he only listens to. Well, he still loves SFTD, but as far as the Stones goes, that's mainly it, and he don't listen to the Beatles at all. Oh well, at least his older brother listens to Elvis today, thanks to me!
