Anyone who was in my neck of the wood last February and lived to tell the tale can get through just about any winter unscathed (but still bitching loud and strong, Ronnie!) Average temperature was 5 degrees Farenheit, and that's before factoring in the ever-present wind. We didn't get a single second of above-freezing temps, and the "warmest" day averaged 21 degrees Farenheit. This lasted for the entire month, from the 1st to the 28th. Thank god it wasn't a leap year!
It was the coldest month of February since 1885 or some such year that no one alive remembers first-hand. I am still traumatized by it. I never, ever want to have to go through that again!
