I truly hate this time of the year! It's dark till 7:00 in the morning and it gets dark again at 4:00 in the afternoon, and we still have three more weeks to go before we finally start gaining a few seconds of daylight each day. And we have months of cold, dreary winter ahead of us.
At least there isn't any snow on the ground yet, and none in the forecast for the next few days. I was reading the long-term forecast for this winter. In my neck of the (frozen) wood, the first part of the winter should be mild, but the second should be colder than average. Sigh...! I feel like we've already played in this film the last two years, Ronnie.
Time to cocoon and curl up with some good Stones. GHS is my #1 fall/early winter album, but I may just reach for "Aftermath" instead. All the beautiful exotic instruments played by Brian on that wonderful, underrated album will provide me with the "colour" that Mother Nature doesn't at this time of year.
