I was wrong, the place that fixes the heater doesn't want $75 for a upfront service charge - they want $105.00 upfront, and then they will charge another $105.00 per hour, plus parts to fix it! How can places be allowed to get away with this legally? So I called up social services, since I get LEAP, and they told me about this place the government runs for poor people where they will fix the heaters for you, but I don't know how poor you got to be to qualify. So now I'm waiting for them to call me back. Meanwhile, at least the sun is shinning today, heck, it's up to 52 degrees in the house now! But we get the most sun in the house in the afternoon here, so heck, we might get the temp up to 60 by nitefull, then I'll start up the old wood stove, but that only heats up the family room. I need to get this thing fixed before nite, it's gonna go down to zero outside tonight!
