I didn't know that ALO added himself to the starting credits, as I never saw a need to buy the re-released film, but this sounds right up his alley and is one reason why so many Stones fans don't care for him, so it doesn't surprise me that he would do such a thing. He's been credited for many things he never really did, like produce all of the Stones albums before TSMR, when he actually was their producer in name only. The Stones really were their own producers.
The one thing I do give him credit for is being a excellent manager to the Stones in the first few years he worked with them, and that helped to make them big. Plus it was he who got Jagger and Richards to start writing songs, a very important step. But ALO is also the man who drew the Glimmers apart from the other band members and gave them their rude business attitude that they still have to this day. Plus it was he who started the real problems between the Glimmers and Brian Jones. One could argue that Brian's hiring of him to help promote the Stones - made the band, but also lead to his leadership in the band being destroyed, as ALO was totally behind all of that, other than the problem BJ and Keith had over Anita.
