I'm happier and happier with the version I have of this firlm. The original version, which has been circulating as a bootleg for years. I didn't buy Keith's revisionist "Life" and I'm not going to spend any money on ALO's revisionist film either.

Most people today don't realize how huge Brian was in the 60s. His popularity equalled Mick's. Keith was a distant third in terms of popularity back then. He seemed rather shy and hadn't yet discovered his public image. I think that it was actually Brian's leaving which allowed Keith to finally come out of his shell. By the 69 tour, the Keith that we have come to know had started to emerge.

If I'm watching a Stones film from the 60s, I want to see the band the way it was in the 60s. A band with Mick and Brian at the forefront and everyone else pretty much in the background. Because, well, that's how it was. To show it any differently is to tell revisionist lies.
