Well some interesting stuff. I think ALO did an excellent job of getting the Stones off and running. He learned some of his craft from Brian Epstein. ALO thought they would get more popularity by being the opposite of the Beatles. And he HAD to get MJ and KR to start writing. Back in those days you got 50% share of records that sold if you were on the "B" side, or the "A". So some of the first hits that came out on singe the Glimmers had the "B" side so they could make money. You got to remember back in the early 60's no one was sure how long Rock and Roll would last. So it was make money NOW while you can. Now I do agree that ALO turned bad for them as the years went on, but I think he was the perfect manager to start the group.
