I haven't given my full picks either at all, or I just gave a couple of picks, for the last 3 weeks, so let me try to give all 4 for this week.
Stones Poll: "You Got Me Rocking" by a few light years! This is an example of the band playing a song on every single tour, every single nite, that just about nobody wants to hear.
Rock Poll: Ray Manzarek, a great keyboardist who was the only real musician in the band who stood out, and he stood out often. A clear choice for me, yet not others I see, he ain't even in the lead at this time, as manny was thinking.
VS Poll: The Led Zep song is the best of the 2 by a good margin for me. The Police's song is very good too, but it's also very basic, although Sting's vocals are the best he ever sang on any Police tune, he sounded like he should have been in a metal band, too bad he mellowed out his voice after this song.
Beatles Poll: For the first time since this question was run, I voted the nite the poll started, not because I had a clear choice in mind, but because I realized no matter how great a writer Paul was, and he's had some great lyrics up there each week, John was the best writer in rock if you wanted crazy, twisted lyrics. But there's several lyrics by John I could vote for this week alone, but I went with the lyric line from "I am the Walrus" in the end.
