What I truly, truly hate is people who text while walking and, even more so, those who text while driving. This last one will get you a (richly deserved) stiff fine if you get caught, but most people don't get caught. Whenever I cross a street now, I assume that every single driver is texting. That's the only way to stay safe.

I would like to think that my life and that of all other pedestrians is worth a lot more than all the "Pls pick up milk"'s in the world.

I have never texted. I don't use text. Anyone who knows me also know that if they text me, they will not receive a reply.
