OK, so I'll admit to a tiny bit of baiting...I know who's who on this board:) But all I meant was that the Beatles failed to stay together; they failed to continue to make great music together, and it's a shame since their solo output was so so much less good than the Stones' collective output was. But in no way did I mean they were "failures" in music...in life...or whatever. Quite the contrary. In fact, I'm a big fan, and I know my Beatles: Just this week I surmised that the song "Crystallized" by Melody's Echo Chamber (2012) was very close to being a direct offspring of the wonderful Rain, and to a lesser extent Paperback Writer. Those two songs were/are wildly good-sounding and creative. Only Paint It Black and Good Vibrations are better individual songs from that most wonderful of years, 1966.
