Correct Manny, for anybody to say that the Beatles failed at anything (music wise) means that person has a ton of work to do in checking them out all over again, and after doing so they should realize how off they were in saying at first that they failed at anything music wise. Plus even if they didn't last as long as the Stones.... well.... how many bands lasted as long as the Stones? Your answer is that just about no other bands have, the few celebrating their 50th anniversary right now were broken up for years (like the Who, who really aren't "the Who" today anyway, 2 guys are not a band). But the Beatles were nothing close to being a failure and played plenty of different kinds of music.
