A thing to keep in mind, was the other things so many used to say a lot about the Stones... like that their songs were also all about drugs, which was also untrue, only some were, and mainly only after the late '60s. Sure they had drug related songs, as were ones that were sexual in nature, but they sure weren't limited to just that.
As far as them writing about outcasts, well, they were outcasts themselves up until the '90s (as they also noted that in the song gomper wrote about, and that's why they wrote about this, as it was a part of the life they lived).
