I think public sentiment has softened. I don't think it'll be that long before Rose is admitted. I agree with you that Bonds, Mc Gwire, Sosa, A Rod, Palmeiro, Clemens and a slew of other great players who are under the steroid cloud will never get in. Public sentiment may also soften with these guys, but I don't think they will be voted in because no one wants to be that guy who votes someone with tainted stats in a HOF. Even though they ARE getting votes, they will never get the 75% needed to be elected and certainly won't be put in by the veterans committee. It's a shame because many of them probably would have been a shoo in anyway without the roids!
