Hard to argue your point, but how many numbers of other players are tainted from that era which have not come to light? An educated guess is Many! Too many to punish only those "caught" or reasonably suspected of steroid use. No one would have caught McGwire if he had not ratted on himself. Frankly I admire him for that. Coming clean. Steroid use was widespread during that era. Bonds had HOF numbers Before he started juicing.
Too many were "guilty" of steroid or PED use in that era to make it a consideration for getting into the Hall in my opinion. And I am not alone in my belief. Mind you, I think Bonds is a dick, but what an amazing swing he had and what a grand baseball player he was. I'm no fan of the man or the teams he played for, but I admired the way he played baseball even before the PEDs.
