Yes..he lied. So did Mark Mc Gwire, Sammy Sosa, Roger Clemens,Rafael Palmeiro, Alex Rodriguez...they all said they didn't do roids and they did... and they are all eligible to be considered for the HOF.

And none of them should ever get in either! But how can you be so sure Rose never did steroids? You have no way of knowing for sure, chances are he did different ones than what were going around years later, ones that had different effects on his body. We have no way of knowing, but again, even if he didn't, he did something that is just as bad and a major no-no in all sports, you don't reward such a person for acting in this matter or you might as well award all of the cheaters, and that in turn ruins your game forever, good people would abandon the sport forever if you allow cheaters in your game and reward them. Baseball owners aren't that stupid and will never let him or any such players in, they love their games and money too much.
