Sweet Neocon: love the message, but it's nowhere near a complete song. If you pick out that one in particular, it's like saying 'what a beautiful car' when all you see is a rusty frame.
A great song. Perhaps some of the lyrics could have been better written, but overall it is still excellent.
Dangerous Beauty shows what a lot of critics said in the past: the band that is active as the Stones is the worlds best paid cover band. It has little to do with the band that once was. To call that one not convincing is an understatement. The Stones sound like a joke on that one.
I could not disagree more! They sound fantastic on this tune! Plus this song is pure 100% Stones!
As for why people like it as much: I can only guess.
Well, I don't have to guess. I know why I dig it. I like it because it is as close as the Stones have come to sounding like themselves in years!
Perhaps it's because people have been waiting for so long that they would be pleased with anything the band would throw at them.
Then explain why most of us didn't like B2B if that was the case?

Agree. At least I hope that was the case. I would hate to see them go back in that direction.
I sure hope the Boys put out another studio LP just like Bang because that is the Stones. One thing I do know, it is the Stones and their sound, and that is what we got on ABB - - and we need more of that great sound!
