Alright i have listend to the Ranconteurs samples on I tunes, I will say musicly they have some cool ideas and decent grooves but the songs for the most part are underwhelming, I don't like the vocals nor do I like the phrasing style. I will say that the songs Old Enough and Top Your Self are very good and musically excellent, the grooves and instrumentations are aswome, even the vocals have enough conviction for me to become engrossed in the songs, however they would be even better with if they had a different signer/songwritter in terms of phrasing and refrian. I could see myself listening to and enjoying these two songs nevertheless.
As far as the Driveby Truckers and Ryan Adams goes, I liked one song, 3 Dimes Down by the Truckers, pretty cool tune I can dig that one for sure, the rest, again underwhelming in evey which way to me, they certainly have country flavour to their music but in no way do they match let's say Kid Rock's tongue in cehck fun of Half Your Age or the most excellent Blue Jeans and A Rosery in terms of listenablity, catcty song writting, refrain and flow.
As fasr as the Dylan tune goes, well I am not much of a Dylan fan per se, but I regonzie the song is good and fine for his style and I could enjoy mixed in with some other songs earthy songs.
After litening to the Springsteen song I am convinced you picked songs abosulety converse to the tempo and style I picked. You mainly picked folk type muisc even of bands from the rock relm. I don't believe these are you favorite songs after 2000, I beleive these are some songs you really apreacitate and love but a rocker like your self can't put these tunes above all else that has somce out since.
