Riffhard, have you ever once questioned how Saddam got these chemical and biological weapons? Have you ever questioned why we looked the other way in the 1980's when Saddam committed the genocide with these weapons? I am bring this up because you seem to miss all this when people do try to question things. BTW... I responded to your "Your Wrong Again" post in the earlier thread. You may want to go and read that so you more clearly understand my position. And for those that aren't going to take the time, I have never taken the position that Saddam doesn't have these weapons. But that seems to fly right by you as you continue to make erroneous claims and allegations to support your position.
Once again I will state that I hope we do find these weapons in Iraq. Not because I want to hear you toot your horn about being right, but because it will add some justification as to why we are going into Iraq. I don't want the President to be wrong or be considered a liar. I merely have questioned his approach to the entire situation. Again, all that doesn't matter because the shooting has started and we must now support our troops. There will be plenty of time later to second guess things and determine who was right and who was wrong. If things work out as planned Bush will be a Hero and if they don't I am sure the conservatives will try and spin it as to place blame on Clinton.
Finally, you made a point in your post about the Iraqi's having suits and supplies to protect against chemical and biological weapons. For the record, I am not disbuting this point. You went on to state that this was a clear & direct violation of International Warfare. So are we (Americans) in violation of the same rules because we have the same protective gear? All of our troops have such protective gear. Look the fact that they (Iraq) had this stuff is pretty damming, but it doesn't yet prove that they actually have the weapons. Using your logic, we also have chemical & biological weapons (which we do) and are also in violation of these international laws. I think we should wait until we actually find something or they use the weapons before we claim we have been proven right.
