I think it is just sad that someone can really think this way. A Stones fan is a Stones fan and there can be many reasons why. The notion that a person with more conservative leanings could not be a true fan and doesn't "get" the lyrics is about as intolerant and ignorant as it gets.

I don't begrudge you your political leanings. Hell Keno is about as left as they come -- but when I met him in Denver, we were Stones fans - united by the fun and common love of the Stones. But to take those political leanings and then insult those that don't agree or worse yet, suggest that somehow your leanings allow you to lay claim to the band that we all love. Wow! Maybe you should consider political cleansing next -- kill all bigots (they are easy to spot you know, just look for Bush/Cheney bumper stickers), establish your master race, and play some Stones -- the music of the tolerant!
