Keno, I cam just never imagine you as a guy well into his sixties. I always have some other mental image of you and you would not believe what it is. I always think of another guy named Keno from a TV show. Probably no one will guess who that Keno is. But I believe I have seen your photo and now that image is starting to kick in.
Anyway, anything is possible with these situations. He might have relapsed. Prescription pain meds or other meds may have been a factor. He might have got very drunk. We don't know. I have had a goo deal of training in suicide prevention for jobs I have had and I have seen how people can get into a state where they are depressed, have substance abuse issues, and then one thing like a bad phone call from home, a jail sentence, or other bad news can be the straw that breaks the camels back. But there are any number of other permutations that lead one to suicide. There are, of course, rational suicides where a person rationally understands that their pain will not end and death may be near regardless. So really, anything could have happened here.
I suspect that we will learn a lot more about this particular situation in the future.
Yeah, Heroin is pretty awful. I have seen addicts and what it does. There are a tiny minority of H addicts who do live to ripe old ages and suffer few ill-effects. How that is, I do not know.
