I saw a very cool episode a while back where he met with then-president Obama in a Hanoi cafe and sat down to shoot the breeze with him over a beer and bowl of noodles. As a former chef, Bourdain used food and drink as a backdrop, but he was much more into philosophy, history, geographical settings, and human culture. Along with people like Robin Williams, and Kurt Cobain among others, it defies logic that someone at the top of their game would choose to end their life. At any rate, what people eventually see on the tube can be a superficially edited version that conceals what is going on beneath the surface.
