Hmm, very interesting question. I don't think I'm qualified enough to answer which produced more great acts, US or U.K., but, to add to the USA list, how about the fantastic Motown acts, so great, and the luscious Doo-Wop from the 50s to the early 60s, also The 4 Seasons, The Beach Boys, and going just a little later into the sixties, the Psychedelic Era started in --- where else? --- TEXAS!! (13th Floor Elevators), not England.

We had Grand Funk Railroad, and for a couple of years the group Kansas couldn't be touched.
