Agree wholeheartedl! Add The Yardbirds to the list.

Classic Rock stations will play Argent's "Hold Your Head Up", (usually the short version) but never a mention about the Zombies.

Check out Rod Argent's keyboard solo on this 1964 #2 hit "She's Not There". Man that was quite innovative and progressive for 1964!!

Classic Rock stations are sickening to me. Highly predictable programming. Same Fleetwood Mac, same Eagles, same Led Zep. 😝 What about Hot Tuna? Vanilla Fudge? Some deeper Santana? Throw some damn soul in there like Sly & the Family Stone? Temptations?

Also, DJs long ago abandoned the time-honored tradition of IDing the songs. (That actually goes for almost all commercial stations. Why don't the DJs 'say it when they play it.')
