RE: RE: RE: RE: Announcement ?

Yeah, I've only seen them once at MSG - but that was back when they were in their prime with MT, in '71 (or was it '70, or '72, I'm so bad on dates). But it was a great show indeed, in part because of it being at MSG!

I'm about 90% sure I won't ever see them again, as my guess is they will never play Colorado again, since Ronnie has emphysema and at least had lung cancer for awhile. I guess you can beat lung cancer, but it doesn't happen too often, but emphysema you never get rid of, you just have to live with it. But when you got that and your lungs are shot, Colorado is one of the last places where you want to be, since you are so high up here and there's a lot less air to breath, especially when you aren't used to it. Even if in Denver, where they would likely play, is one of the lowest places in the state, it's still a full mile up in the air above sea level. They suggest for older skiers (over 50) to not ski on their first day here, and be at the ski resorts for a full day before doing anything other than walking around a bit and getting used to the air. So the Stones would need to stay here for a week to get Ronnie used to the air.... I recall a couple of years ago Willie Nelson came back there to do a show in Denver and had to cancel the show because of this very problem, as he got into Denver after playing a date in the midwest and was suppose to play the next day in Denver and couldn't breath. But he is in his 80s, too, but Willie has a house here up the mountains and lives here PT, yet since he was gone for a few months at that time, well even if you live here PT, when you return, you got to get used to it again. It's not just the air, but your body makes a ton of extra white blood cells when you are this high up, and that's actually what makes you tired. The thin air just makes it harder to breath, and you got to get over both of those 2 things when you first come here, no matter what your age is. So I don't expect to see Ronnie here ever again, unless he doesn't know about this - but I bet his doctors do. In the rare case that they do come here again, it's totally unlike I'd go, since I got my own non threatening health problems that get in the way of me going places that are very far away from where I live, and Denver is 4 full hours from where I live.
