RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Reply 2

JF, to answer your question, and as I noted in my reply, while I have a great memory when it comes to events that have taken place in my life, when it comes to dates and years - forget it, I will get that part of the story wrong almost every time! Just be glad you weren't one of my kids, as to this day I still can't remember their correct birthdays. I know the month they were born in, and around what the actual date is, but forget about the exact date or even what year it was, I'm usually off a year or 2, and that applies to everything else, including every Stones show I've been to. I mean, ask me about the last time I saw the Stones in Denver, and the Gassers who I saw that show with, and I recall all of it, 100%! But ask what year that was in and forget it! It was either in '04, or '05, 'or'06?? One of those years, but I can't recall which one for sure.

So while I remember and can totally recall the MSG show, if you say they didn't play there in '70 and '71 (hell, you know that and you weren't even born yet, while I was there and I can't get the year right!), then it had to be the '72 show, since I didn't see them at the Garden for the '69 show, that I know. I wrote about the '72 show in my Stones book, in detail, and yes, when I wrote about all of that, I had to do research to figure out the day and the year. They did play two shows the day before Mick's birthday (and I was thinking they also played 2 the next day, but maybe not), but it was on the 25th that we went to the show - the nighttime show. We tried to get into the daytime show too, but we didn't have tickets for the show, nor did several other thousands of fans outside the Garden that day who were trying to get in, a totally crazy scene, and we never got in (and almost got busted by the cops trying, while others did get busted). We also didn't have tickets for the second show, but we did get into that one, and all of that crazy story is told in my book, which I think you have? Anyway, what a hell of a show that night that the Stones put on! Yes, I was one lucky man that evening (well, actually, one very lucky teenager).
