But they do know the main reason why it's done, and it is because most pedophiles are born that way. But you are correct to say that we don't really know how many were abused as kids themselves and become that way for that reason only. But I also believe that some of these perverts after they get caught, just say that it happened to them when they were kids, when it didn't, thinking that if they state this, they may get off the hook some and serve less time once convicted, since it appears they were victims once and the system failed them as children.
