The Stones will never be like The Guess Who!

I was just thinking about bands that have had extensive line up changes to the point where there are few original members left, or in some cases NO original members left.

The Guess Who's line up in 1965 was:

Chad Allan, Bob Ashley, Randy Bachman, Jim Kale, Garry Peterson

In 2014 they were listed as:

Derek Sharp, Jim Kale, Will Evankovich, Garry Peterson, Leonard Shaw

Amazingly, Burton Cummings, their major creative force for most of their prime as a band, was not an original member. He came in a year or so after the band was formed. Garry Peterson himself has been on and off again as a band member.

They were a great band in their day but many fans do not even consider albums after Cummings left to be real "Guess Who" albums. But I guess there has always been some version of this band touring and playing their songs from all eras.
