where are AC/DC from? Most of their singer did not come from Australia, where the core of their members hail from, and those guys claim a Scottish heritage.
I thought the entire, original band was from Australia, but yeah, I guess the 2 brothers were born in Scotland but still grew up in Australia. So that makes them a mixed band for sure.
Eddie Van Halen was born in the Netherlands. But I would say that since almost all of his life as a recording artist has been in the USA, with American born singers, that they qualify as an American band.
It just depends on how you look at it, but I say it goes by where the person was born. Eddie came here around the age of 10 or so, and yes the band was formed in the U.S.. But if you go by that, then the Hendrix band would be 100% a UK band, since Jimi was living in the UK when the band was formed and the other 2 guys were from there, too.... So yes, it is a can of worms, Ronnie!
