RE: RE: RE: RE: Agree and disagree...

I can't keep up with myself either, Manny. I live in a suburb of London for the most part - and I've missed the current heatwave there because I've been in my home in Duncan on Vancouver Island (not owned it for too long, and only spent a short while here in the past - been here a week so far and the weather's been in the high 60s and low 70s. No air conditioning - no-one's been able to explain the heating/cooling system here enough for me to understand quite how it works - seems that it extracts warm air through vents when it's set low, but I've had the house set at 60 degrees to see how it works, and the thermostat says 70 something and no warm air is extracted. I don't like air conditioning, and the house is positioned in such a bizarre way that the sun only shines through windows for a few hours 1st thing and last thing, so the house stays cool(ish). It's the most bizarre and amazing house I've ever lived in - architecturally and practically! Well anyway, opening a window has worked a treat so far, LOL!! Anyway, I'll be in my coastal N.California home for much of August and I'll definitely not need a/c there: between the fog and the ocean breeze, even a banana belt needs heating more than air conditioning, LOL!! By the time I get back to the UK, it'll be almost Autumn. Anyway, it's great to have found a fan to circulate the air if necessary - looks like there will be a few days where the weather's in the 80s before I leave,

I don't know how anyone copes with air conditioning - I hate staying in hotels where it's there, my eyes get bloodshot, I feel like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards, I could never cope with the East Coast of USA.
