To my ears, the live versions at the Beatles' Shea Stadium concert are every bit as good (or "so-so") as the Stones "Got Live" UK LP and subsequent LP of that title. Both bands' performances were subject to the limited live sound technology of the day and noisy fans to boot. To The Beatles credit, for the Shea concert they didn't utilize enhancements, edits, or faux-live studio recordings with "scream-over" tracks added in either. Keith's band did however, and wouldn't release a truly legitimate live recording of a (nearly) full concert performance until Ya-Ya's surfaced in 1970. And musically speaking, Mick Taylor deserves much of the credit for the superior quality of that album.
