The Stones and the Beatles are so annoying when it comes this issue! I have so many damn discs of UK/US albums, both official and of my own making, both in mono, and in stereo, and many of just singles and outtakes only. For a while, The London Years and the Past Masters were both genuinely good ideas to compliment official album listening, among others (e.g. Flowers, Yellow Sub) and they did used to get a lot of airplay from me, but now I've made so many different collections I don't know what is what anymore! I think I might have too many "perfect" "mixtapes" to handle.
If I ever get the energy to yet again do a comprehensive re-do of all my stuff I'm going to do it like the Kinks did with their reissues: proper albums with chronologically synced up singles and outtakes attached to each one!
