This would be sort of an arbitrary rule. Should both Ronnie and Mick T. (and Mick J. for that matter since he didn't play guitar back then) not play on Brian-era songs, leaving Keith to carry the burden? The absurd guidelines for guitar authenticity could be set up as follows:

Brian era 1963-68 -- Only Keith plays guitar, loudly

Taylor era 1969-74 -- Only Keith & Mick T. play guitar

Black & Blue era -- Jungle rules, anyone can play guitar

Ron Wood era 1976-present Only Keith & Ronnie play guitar

Mick Jagger stipulation -- Mick J. can only play on the songs he played guitar on in the studio, period.

Neutral guitar cop: Bill Wyman via satellite so he won't have to fly to the shows
